ABOUT THE BONFIRE ORCHESTRA:
The Bonfire Orchestra is a "band for all occasions." The group feels at home in a variety of settings, from bars and lounges to coffee houses and college campuses. They perform constantly, playing private engagements, working with charitable organizations, and touring the festival circuit. This folk powerhouse permeates musical boundaries with Rock, Indie, Soul and Roots Americana.
The trio is often joined by a litany of other musicians, all of whom bring their own unique contribution to the piece. This ever changing line-up, grounded by the core combination of Michael Thomas, Dayton Cooper, and Seth Parker, presents a constantly forward thinking interpretation of original music and a deep catalogue of cover material. The Bonfire Orchestra has performed with such national acts as the Avett Brothers, Jason Sturgeon, Jake Owen and Joe Cocker. They have appeared on Thacker Mountain Radio and been featured on National Public Radio (NPR). What is also notable about the band is their commitment to charitable organizations such as Nothing But Nets, FEED Benefit, She Dances, Pediatric Cancer Research Association and local organizations like the Salvation Army, Red Cross and Human Association.
